Seasonal opportunities at the Bakehouse

We are looking for temporary staff to work with us over the festive period, with evening events starting in late November and continuing throughout December. We’re looking for driven, passionate and focussed staff to help us during what will be the busiest stretch of the year. Experience is highly desirable for these short-term, flexible posts.

Front of House / Bar Staff (Temp)

Ideally you have experience working in busy bar environments, with excellent speed and attention to detail. Principle duties include making cocktails/alcoholic drinks and you will neatly set and clear tables, take orders, serve food, offering informed recommendations and advice where needed. We are looking for someone who can learn our festive and drinks menus and preferably have working knowledge of licensing laws/Challenge 25.

Kitchen Porter (Temp)

A great opportunity to work in a busy kitchen. Assisting a senior chef during service, you will provide a ready supply of clean equipment and crockery as well as plating our 3 course festive menu. We are looking for someone who really enjoys being organised, is systematic and works cleanly and quickly. You will actively seek ways to make service more efficient.  Previous experience in a similar role is essential as you will be working in a very small team.

Both posts will run from the end of November through to the week before Christmas and will 2-4 evenings per week, including some weekends. Would suit returning students, or those looking for a little extra spending money this Christmas. We will be holding interviews and trials throughout October and the beginning of November.
