Exciting plans are afoot to expand our cafe offering late in the Autumn. Our little cafe space is just too small, nowhere near enough indoor seating to feed a hungry weekend crowd, especially with the unpredictable British weather.
Work has begun to convert the flat above the bakery into a totally separate dining space. At the moment our chefs and bakers share a kitchen in the bakery which makes things tricky, both need more room to flex their creative muscles. The bakery will continue to serve drinks alongside all our baked treats, grilled cheese and sandwiches. The new space will serve an extended brunch and lunch menu – don’t worry we aren’t taking away your Huevos Rancheros or French Toast! We’ve also got a hankering for cocktails and Sunday roasts.
A full list of job vacancies associated with our expansion will be posted in October, but here is a quick run down of who we are looking for:
- Service Manager – heading up the service staff and supporting our Head Chef and General Manager Flo with admin tasks
- Senior Waiter
- Waiters FT / PT
- Chef FT
- Kitchen Porter
This is no small undertaking, so it’s going to take us a while. Work has started in August and all being well we’ll be open in the run up to Christmas, so pen us into your festive social calendar.
